Look at Action

Welcome to ttff/19 carifesta edition! The annual ttff, now in its fourteenth year, has become a mainstay of Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural calendar, and is well-established as the premiere film festival of the English-speaking Caribbean. ttff/19 carifesta edition is being held in August—rather than our usual September—to coincide with the largest regional celebration of culture in all its forms, CARIFESTA XIV.

The festival runs from 17-23 August, with free screenings at APA, SAPA, Naparima Bowl and Shaw Park Cultural Complex, and includes, as always, the best films from around the Caribbean, Panorama films, classics and experimental films. We’ll also have panel discussions, workshops, filmmaker Q&As and other special events.

Please download our full press kit, which includes programme highlights, film synopses, information on our locations, images and film stills.

High on Film

Welcome to the twelfth edition of the ttff. This year we are particularly pleased to have added MovieTowne San Fernando to our screening venues, to be working in close partnership with a number of agencies to help strengthen the capacity and skills of filmmakers, and to put the spotlight on issues of gender and social justice. Through this support we have a strong industry programme with a focus on screenwriting and script development, co-productions—particularly with our Latin American neighbours, and an examination of the representation of women and girls in film.

Please download our full press kit, which includes programme highlights, film synopses, our branding materials, photographs and film stills.
