In the vibrant Trinidad of 1966, a young girl from a rural village stands at the cusp of discovery when her adventurous auntie from India arrives. Having known only the familiar cadence of island life, the girl is captivated by this woman from the land of her ancestors, a place she knows little about, yet feels deeply connected to.
