TTFF/25 Gala Screening: ‘Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story’

Join us on 25 September, 2025, for Trinidad+Tobago Film Festival’s 2025 gala screening of ‘Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story’, directed by award-winning filmmaker Alison Duke. Share an unforgettable evening celebrating the music of Jamaican dancehall legend Sister Nancy, creator of the iconic anthem “Bam Bam.” The night begins with a cocktail reception at 6:30pm, followed by the screening at 7:30pm sharp at IMAX, One Woodbrook Place. After the film, there’ll be an engaging Q&A with the director, then rock up to our after-party from 10:00pm to 2:00am, featuring the best back-in-times reggae and dancehall tracks.

In ‘Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story’, Duke weaves together dynamic tour performances, rare archival footage, and candid interviews with stars such as Janelle Monáe, Young Guru, and Pete Rock to tell the story of Sister Nancy’s journey.
