‘The Disappearance of Miss Scott’ is an intimate and urgent reclamation of the life and legacy of Hazel Scott – Trinidadian born, virtuoso pianist, Hollywood trailblazer, civil rights crusader, and the first Black person to host a nationally syndicated television show. Despite her groundbreaking achievements, Scott’s story has been largely erased from public memory. This film exists to bring her story to light.
