10 for 20: Children of God
Thursday, June 25, 2026 | 6:00 pm

Set across the sun-drenched islands of Nassau and Eleuthera, Children of God is a bold and tender drama from Bahamian filmmaker Kareem Mortimer. Two stories unfold in parallel: a young art student who finds love and his creative voice on the outer islands, and a devout anti-gay activist whose certainties begin to fracture. One of the first Caribbean feature films to address homosexuality with such directness, Children of God confronts the deep contradictions of love, religion, and belonging. A double winner at ttff/10 – taking home both the Jury Award and Audience Award for Best Dramatic Film – the film is as vital today as ever.
Screened as part of 10 for 20, TTFF’s celebratory anniversary series revisiting audience-favourite films from across two decades of the festival, this special screening takes place at the historic Little Carib Theatre during Pride month.
