Uyoyou Adia is a multiple award-winning Nigerian filmmaker with an undying love and passion for filmmaking and storytelling. She studied directing at Cine Fabrique, Lyon, Paris. Her work experience ranges from writing for TV to writing for the big screen (cinema) and, of course, directing for TV, the big screen, and streaming platforms. She was listed among the top 10 directors in Nollywood in 2022. Her film L.I.F.E was nominated for Best Nigerian Film at the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2023. Some of her prominent directing and writing works include Hey You (Amazon Prime Video), Nneka The Pretty Serpent (Writer, Netflix), Charge And Bail (Director, Amazon Prime Video), L.I.F.E (Amazon Prime Video), Casa De Novia (Director, Amazon Prime Video), and My Name Is Misan. Uyoyou Adia is dedicated to telling authentic stories. She has proven to be a very detailed director and writer, focused, disciplined, pays attention to every little detail.
