Nicola Cross is an artist filmmaker and who helps people tell their own stories in an aesthetic, creative way. She has always been an observer who has followed her passion. This has taken Nicola through a 10-year career as an ecologist and a development practitioner; these instilled in her a strong foundation in the use of participatory methods and gender analysis. She have been documenting social issues, with and about mainly women for over 13 years. She makes intimate portraits of characters, even invisible ones, that acknowledge the courage and resilience of the storytellers with whom she works.
