Ida Does is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, writer, and producer. Her work centres on underrepresented stories, with a focus on (post)colonial history, art, social justice, and the strength of Caribbean and Indigenous voices. Her films include It Is Not Past – 08.12.1982 (HUMAN, 2022), New Light – The Rijksmuseum and Slavery (NTR, 2021), and Everyday Dignity – Philomena Essed (2023). Her documentaries have been screened internationally at festivals in Toronto, Berlin, Aruba, and at the United Nations in New York, and broadcast nationally in the Netherlands through the 2Doc series.
