Claudia Calviño is a prolific independent film producer from Cuba. With a degree in Film Production from Havana’s Instituto Superior de Arte, she started as a partner of Producciones de la 5ta Avenida and later co-founded Cacha Films. Her credits as producer, co-producer and executive producer include an impressive slate of titles by Cuban and international filmmakers such as the global hit ‘Juan de los muertos’, all three of Carlos Lechuga‘s multi-awarded features, ‘Yuli’ by celebrated Spanish director Icíar Bollaín, ‘La Mujer Salvaje’, and Tommaso Santambrogio’s ‘Los océanos son los verdaderos continentes’ which premiered at Venice´s Giornate degli Autori, among others.
