Tara Smith is a visual artist with over a decade of experience in filmmaking. Their journey began in 2012, during their first year as a Communication student at the University of Guyana; the moment they first looked through a lens, they fell in love with the art of moulding an idea into a frame. Since then, they have remained dedicated to creating films that capture the essence of a subject through its own authentic voice. Their academic background includes a Master of Science in Global Technology and Development from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor’s degree and an Associate’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Guyana.
