Adam Low’s documentaries have won numerous prizes in both Europe and the USA, including a BAFTA for ‘The private Dirk Bogarde’; an EMMY for ‘The life and times of Count Luchino Visconti’; a Grierson for ‘Arena: T.S. Eliot’; and an RTS for ‘Alan Bennett and the habit of art’. While working on the flagship BBC Arts series, Adam pioneered the Arena Trilogy – directing a three-part portrait of Evelyn Waugh, The Waugh Trilogy, and The Nöel Coward Trilogy. He also made films for BBC Arena about two great Polish figures, the writer Rišard Kapušćinjski and the film director Krzysztof Kieślowski and the great Northern Irish poet Michael Longley. Adam’s most recent film is the acclaimed documentary, ‘Ian Fleming and the curse of James Bond’.
