Fiona Compton is a Saint Lucian-born filmmaker, historian, and artist based in London. A graduate of the London College of Printing, she has spent over two decades using film, photography, and storytelling to illuminate the depth and complexity of Caribbean history and Culture. She is the founder of Know Your Caribbean, recognised as the number one digital platform for Caribbean history and culture, reaching over one million global accounts monthly. Through film, podcast, photography, and live events, Know Your Caribbean has brought Caribbean stories to audiences in over 150 countries, with her work featured at institutions including the UK Cabinet Office, Soho House, and Meta. As a filmmaker, Fiona’s work has screened internationally from Los Angeles to Russia, earning her Best Documentary and Best Director honours at the Caribbean Film and Fashion Awards. Her films are rooted in a commitment to telling stories of Caribbean identity, resistance, and cultural pride.
