Kévin Macedot (Director, Cinematographer, Producer)
Born in 1991, Kévin MACEDOT is a director from Guadeloupe and Martinique, a French Caribbean island. After earning his high school diploma, he pursued audiovisual studies in Picardie, France, where he obtained his Higher Technician Certificate in 2011. He then spent two years working for the company Image Vidéo Service in Paris. In 2013, he returned to live in Guadeloupe, his home island. There, he chose to share his knowledge and expertise with students in the audiovisual BTS program at the Pointe-Noire high school, guiding them in the production of short films and promotional videos. Known as a “Swiss Army knife” in the audiovisual industry, he has contributed to numerous music videos for Antillean musical artists. He also works occasionally for the national channel “Guadeloupe la Première” (part of the France Télévision group). For his first self-produced short film, “Je ne suis pas Elle, je suis l’Autre” (I Am Not Her, I Am the Other), he drew upon all his technical skills and experience as a cinematographer.
