Nande Walters is a filmmaker, artist, curator, and archivist from South Florida and based in Brooklyn, NY. Her interests lie in creating diaristic documentaries, artist books, poetry, and archival research that highlight personal experiences, family history, and Black studies. Nande’s documentary film “Soon Come Back” (2023) has been screened globally and was awarded Best Documentary Film at Tide Film Festival (Brooklyn, NY) in 2023 and the Spirit of GATFFEST Award at GATFFEST Film Festival (Kingston, Jamaica) in 2024. Nande holds a Film/Video BFA from Pratt Institute and a Master’s in Library Science with an Advanced Certificate in Archives from Queens College, City University of New York.
