Keithlin Caroo-Afrifa

With roots in agriculture stemming from her upbringing in a farming household, Mrs. Caroo-Afrifa pairs her passion with a background in International Relations. Her five year tenure at the United Nations, where she focused on Peacekeeping and Economic, Social, and Political Affairs, deepened her understanding of agriculture’s pivotal role in societal stability. Recognized internationally for her ongoing efforts to empower Caribbean rural women, Ms. Caroo-Afrifa serves as a One Young World Ambassador, recipient of the 2018 National Youth Award in Agriculture in Saint Lucia, Thought for Food Ambassador for the Caribbean, Forbes Island Innovator, and fellow of Ashoka and Echoing Green. Furthermore, she has been honored with an MBE for humanitarian services by HM Queen Elizabeth II and appointed as an IICA Goodwill Ambassador for Sustainable Development.
