An award-winning Animator, Director and Producer, Adrian Lopez has been a passionate screenwriter, filmmaker, and visual effects artist for over 20 years. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Adrian was educated in Scotland, Jamaica, the US, and Canada, where he completed his secondary education – earning double-degrees in Computer Science and Marketing from the University of Lethbridge. He studied Directing and Unit Production Management at Rockport Film School in Maine, returning to Jamaica in 1993. He founded Jamaica’s first animation and film studio, Liquid Light Digital, in 2002. In 2018, Adrian expanded Liquid Light Digital into IP development under the brand Jamrock Animation, creating “Julie Jamrock” and “Irie Island”, both children’s animated TV shows currently in development. A Branson Entrepreneur, Adrian also penned “Roots:Emergence” a high concept sci-fi feature film selected for development by the British Council, and is actively developing “Dark Waters”, a Caribbean horror anthology series. He recently wrapped post production on his latest animated short film “Ego Sum” which premiered in IMAX at the Animae Caribe Film Festival in Trinidad in September, 2022. In 2024, Adrian produced the latest rendition of the Jamaica National Anthem to critical acclaim, and in 2025, he produced and directed “Talisman The Goat”, the animated version of the famous Jamaican folk story by Laura Facey. Under the ADVRT360 brand, Liquid Light Digital creates Virtual Reality narratives and experiences for retail and educational spaces, and created the 2018 rendition of the Palace Amusement National Anthem in immersive virtual reality.
