Three promotional trailers for the trinidad+tobago film festival (ttff) 2013, which runs from 17 September–01 October, have been launched.
The exciting 30-second trailers feature clips from many of the films that will be screening at the ttff/13. Each trailer represents a different section of the Festival’s lineup: Caribbean feature films, Caribbean short films, and Panorama features (films from world cinema).
The soundtrack to the three trailers is the song “Don’t Regret (Using Government Substances)”, by rock and roll band 5 Miles to Midnight. A six-member outfit that formed in Trinidad and Tobago in 2006, 5 Miles to Midnight has been an opening act for a number of internationally acclaimed artists, including Stephen Marley, Maroon 5 and Evanescence. The band is currently recording its first album.
The ttff/13 trailers will be in rotation on Flow from now until the end of the Festival. They will also run at MovieTowne, one of the ttff/13’s screening venues, and play at various ttff events in the run-up to the Festival.
To hear “Don’t Regret (Using Government Substances)” in its entirety, and to hear other tracks by 5 Miles to Midnight, visit the band’s Soundcloud.
