Lights, Camera . . . Inaction!

Dear readers: as some of you may have noticed, the ttff/09 is now over. We haven’t blogged since October 1, so I just wanted to drop a check-in note to explain our inaction over the past week and let you know that we’ll be back in the swing of things soon. For now, though, Jonathan and I are taking moment to reclaim our respective pre-festival lives. We’re catching up on a few missed deadlines, working hard at our other job(s), spending time with the people we’ve neglected, and even finding a moment to put up our feet and dust off the half-read and now cobwebbed book that has been beckoning since mid-September.

This mini-break of ours won’t last all that long, though. In addition to keeping you informed as to plans for the ttff/10 (I can’t believe we’re already talking about it!), we’ll keep you updated on film in general: we’ll look at other festivals in the region and internationally; we’ll talk about films we’ve seen and liked and directors to look out for, we’ll point you in the direction of good film articles and websites, we’ll let you know of any local film-related educational activities or resources, and Jonathan might even get theoretical and a bit critical from time to time. All good stuff, we hope, so keep checking in with us.

And thanks, as always, for reading.
