A celebration of Cuba’s “American beauties”—over 60,000 vintage cars that are still driven on the island’s streets and country roads. These US-built cars were all bought before the Revolution of 1959, and their longevity is considered a symbol of the resilience and ingenuity of the Cuban people.

Trinidadian Steve James has worked in a number of artistic fields including music and film and is a successful writer and composer, sound engineer and director. James is Technical and Artistic Director of Shakti Productions, a company formed with his partner, Stéphanie James, in 2002. Shakti’s work includes Women West Indies Diaspora, a film featuring successful Caribbean women who are our cultural ambassadors all over the world.
Martinique-born, Stéphanie James is a translator and public relations consultant with an interest in regional affairs, whether cultural, economic or political. She seeks to use her television work as a means to bring Caribbean countries closer together. James is head of Production and Administrator of Shakti Productions.
