Esther is 6 years old and lives a carefree life until her father abuses her. A small metal box appears in her life and it does not leave. While trying to get rid of it, she discovers her mother’s music box. But her mother doesn’t seem to see her daughter’s metal box, nor hers… until she meets Farah. Three Leaves: three women’s stories that explore the roots of identity, resistance and sisterhood.

Eléonore Coyette and Sephora Monteau met in 2018 in Port-au-Prince during a documentary workshop entitled “Women and Cinema” organised by the association SineNouvèl (co-founded by Sephora). They became friends and haven’t stopped sharing their common fight: feminism. They were looking for a way to give a form to this fight and that’s how this film was born.
