Theeb

Arabia, 1916. Theeb lives with his Bedouin tribe in the desert. Having recently lost his father, it falls to Theeb’s elder brother, Hussein, to raise him. When a British army officer arrives on a mysterious mission, Hussein agrees to escort him to his destination. Theeb chases after his brother and soon finds himself at the centre of a bloody ambush. If he is to survive, Theeb must quickly learn about adulthood, trust and betrayal.

Naji Abu Nowar

Born in the UK in 1981, Naji Abu Nowar began his filmmaking career when he was accepted into the 2005 RAWI Screenwriters lab held in association with the Sundance Institute. He then wrote and directed the short film Death of a Boxer (2009), which screened at several international film festivals. Theeb is his debut feature film.
