The Seawall

The Seawall centres around Marjorie, a Guyanese woman, as she prepares for her ten-year-old grandson’s move to America to be with his mother. Struggling with impending loneliness and abandonment, Marjorie sacrifices her happiness for her grandson’s future.

Mason Richards is a Guyanese-born, Brooklyn-bred writer-director. He was the recipient of the 2012 Sony Pictures Diversity Fellowship, given to one promising filmmaker each year. He is currently developing The Seawall (2010) into a full-length feature film.
