World Premiere
Husband and wife team, Kirk Budhooram and Kavita Ganness, are graduates of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. They pursued the MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction). They are published authors and have been making movies, separately and together, for over 15 years. Kirk Budhooram won the People’s Choice Award for Best Short Film at the trinidad+tobago film festival (2007) for “Herman’s Tales: Kidnapped”. He was awarded the David Hough Literary Award (2016) for his short story “The Last Day of School”.
Kavita Ganness has been published in The Caribbean Review of Gender Studies, She SEX Prose & Poetry Sex and The Caribbean Writer to name a few publications. She participated in the Cropper Foundation’s 8th Residential Creative Writers Workshop and was mentored by renowned Caribbean writer, Earl Lovelace and workshopped with writer, Monique Roffey and poet, Mervyn Morris.
