The Big House

Several pregnant women needing particular attention live in a maternal waiting home in Cuba known as the Big House. Yudi, a 15-year-old girl tries, just as the others, to maintain a distant and dysfunctional relationship with the father of her future child.

This film is presented in association with Muestra Joven ICAIC and the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.

Juliette Touin was born in Seine-et-Marne, France, in 1986. She graduated in Political Science from the Institute of Political Studies in Toulouse, and has two master’s degrees, in International Journalism and Internationals Relations. She recently graduated from Cuba’s International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV).
