Tattoo’d

Tattoos were a very rare sight years ago. Recently, however, there has been a boom in the industry. In Trinidad and Tobago, it has turned from a taboo thing to an almost mainstream fashion statement, to the point that almost every person you see has one. This boom will be investigated in Tattoo’d, which includes interviews with 3 tattoo artists from different generations who explore whether the ideologies and conceptions behind the tattoo culture in Trinidad and Tobago has changed.

David Parris

David Parris is a student at the University of the West Indies pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production. He has starred in, written and directed several short films for the university such as “The Smiling Man” (2017) and “Grey” (2018). His favorite genre is horror. The tension and adrenaline rush of a well-executed scare, and not a typical “jumpscare”, is an addicting thing for him. Creating a coherent and interesting narrative with his own “Caribbean” flair is his goal and he intends to create these ideas with all the help he can get.
