Sugarcane Shadows

Bissoon and Marco have spent their lives working in the sugarcane industry, which is shutting down. There are plans to replace the crop with a luxury housing development, complete with a golf course. As their world falls apart, the men struggle to find a place in the new order. For Bissoon, the end of sugar brings emptiness and despair. Meanwhile, Marco becomes intrigued by Devi, the wife of the estate overseer who is supervising the closing of the sugar factory.
