Sixteen

Sixteen is a coming-of-age story. It is an exploration of memory and what time can change. The sound and image form a marriage between the past and the present in the three layers: the story of a difficult childhood, that of a beautiful adulthood, and a voice recounting fading memories.

Vashti Harrison

Vashti Harrison is an American filmmaker and artist of Trinidad and Tobago parentage. She has an MFA in Film/Video from CalArts and a BA from the University of Virginia. Her short, Field Notes, won the jury prize for best short Trinidad and Tobago documentary film at ttff/14. She is currently working on her first feature-length documentary, Wind Rush. Sixteen is her most recent film.
