Sam

Sam is a young transgender man in Puerto Rico, where the trans community is still a subject of discrimination and prejudice. After several failed attempts to secure a job, Sam is forced to confront a life-changing decision and choose what aspects of himself he’s willing to sacrifice in order to survive.

Stephanie Camacho Casillas graduated from Atlantic University College with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Cinematography. Following her career passions, Camacho-Casillas has been working on different artistic venues including video, digital photography and graphic design. Her short film projects have also been acknowledged and awarded in prestigious local and international competitions. In addition, Camacho-Casillas has delivered photojournalism workshops and has worked in television programs like D’Tras de la Fama (Behind Fame) in MegaTV studios as Director of Photography.
