A group of young men from Parade Gardens embark on a journey of transformation using parkour and Joseph Campbell’s ‘The Hero’s Journey’. In a programme hosted by the British Council, the National Theatre of Scotland and Manifesto Jamaica, they create a piece of theatre that impacted the young men and their community through their struggles over three years of engagement and development.

Simon Sharkey is associate director of National Theatre of Scotland. He has worked extensively across the world introducing his “Theatre of Opportunity” to communities and artists as far and wide as India, Australia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Brazil, USA, UK and Europe. His artworks are predominantly theatre using multi art form which regularly includes moving image in live performance. This is his first documentary film.
