Francisco Rojas was born in the city of La Vega, Dominican Republic, in 1975. He began studying art at age 10 at the National Palace of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo and as a teenager going to the National School of Plastic Arts of Dominican Republic. He is self-taught photographer. Currently he mixes architecture, visual arts and photography in his independent film projects. He directed the short film Negra Noche (Black Night) which was selected in eight international festivals. He also art director of the short films 6:15, Irene and Gula (Gluttony).
