An ex-offender struggling with new freedom pursues redemption at all costs when given a job from his neighbour.
Ricky, a recently released ex-offender, needs to find a job to avoid violating his parole. His longtime neighbour, Bernetta, offers him a job at her diner under the condition that he doesn’t screw up. James, Ricky’s younger brother, teaches him how to drive but they get into trouble with their mother, Winsome, for James allowing Ricky to drive home. After a late night of partying with his brother James, Ricky wakes up late the next morning. He asks James for a ride to work, but James is still wasted from the night before. Taking matters into his own hands to get to work on time results in a major mishap. Will Ricky own up to his mistake or let his brother take the fall for him?
