After the 2010 earthquake in Port-au-Prince, a bourgeois couple struggles to rebuild a life amid the rubble of their luxurious home. Needing money, they decide to rent the habitable part of their villa to Alex, a French aid worker. He brings with him Andrémise, a poor but ambitious Haitian girl.
