Mightier dan de Sun

Ten years in the making and filmed in Trinidad and Tobago with a team of home-grown professionals, “Mightier dan de Sun” is the story of an Indian couple with nothing to lose. In combination with mental illness and supernatural forces, alcohol becomes a catalyst for unfortunate events.

Trevon C. Jugmohan

My name is Trevon C. Jugmohan, I am an actor, producer and director. I have been a member of the theatre fraternity since 2006, a registered artiste with the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts of Trinidad and Tobago and recently I completed my first short film, ‘Mightier dan de Sun’, premiering this year. First Instinct, my production company, collaborated with JCS Entertainment between the years 2012 to 2016, producing musicals such as; ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Mahalia: A Gospel Musical’, just to name a few. November 2019, we, John H. Smith and I were honoured with the award for achievements in Musical Theatre from the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), at the ten year anniversary gala. April 2019 marked my thirteenth year as apprentice and producer for Raymond Choo Kong. Studying the art forms from one of our local masters, everything from front of house to staging plays, from script selection to character development, passing on knowledge that will ensure the continuation of quality productions in T&T.
