Although carnival shares similar historical roots throughout the Caribbean, the difference often lies in the manifestation of the celebration. Jessy Schuster is a French American journalist and producer who lives between Miami, USA, and the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. After 8 years of experience in reporting, news writing and digital producing, she produced her first national documentary with America’s #1 public television PBS in 2011 on the Caribbean and African Art scene in Miami. Her second documentary “Kriol Jazz Festival”, featured the International Jazz Festival of Cabo Verde an its creole influences.
