In the Horizon’s Dreams

1961, Dominican Republic. Chico relives the last moments spent at home with his older brother Luis, who wishes to study in the capital city, and their mother, mourning the loss of her husband due to the Trujillo dictatorship. The arrival of a telegram confirming Luis’s departure might change their lives forever.

Ramón Alfonso Peña was born in Santo Domingo in 1991. He graduated in Filmmaking from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. He is at work on his first feature film. In the Horizon’s Dreams is his latest short.
