Anne-Sophie Nanki

Afro-Caribbean director and screenwriter Anne-Sophie Nanki was born in Guadeloupe. ‘Ici s’achève le Monde Connu’, a historical drama, is her first short. Anne-Sophie is currently developing ‘Here the New World Begins’, the feature film stemming from the same world as her short. Her dream is to direct the feature-length films she’s been conjuring: ‘The Raft of the Medusa’, a queer afro-futuristic lesbian love story, and a biopic on the African American opera singer, Leontyne Price.
