In Sierra Maestra, Cuba, José Manuel shares his vision of the world with his granddaughter Malena through his deep knowledge of nature’s mysteries. Plants and people have great similarities and must respect each other. José Manuel hopes that Malena will inherit the knowledge that he obtained from his father and will become a great mountain tree.

Claudia Claremi

Claudia Claremi is a graduate in Documentary Film at the EICTV, International Film and TV School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba (2018), and also in Fine Arts at the University of the Arts London, UK (2009). She has directed experimental and documentary films such as “Centella” (Firefly), “Murciélago” (Bat), “El Monte” (The Woodland) and “Patio de Butacas” (Audience). Her art projects and films have been exhibited in Cuba, Puerto Rico, the US and Spain as well as at international film festivals such as Ann Arbor (US), Alcine, Documentamadrid (Spain), MakeDox (Macedonia), Ji.hlava (Czech Rep), FIC Gibara (Cuba), MIDBO (Colombia), FCIU (Uruguay), FICGuadalajara, Oaxaca Filmfest (Mexico).
