Daddy’s Garden

Seven-year-old Marcie is cruelly rejected by her posh classmates because she doesn’t live in a fancy house with a nice garden. Tensions fly back home in her little apartment, as she blames Daddy for the rejection. Then she discovers he owns the biggest garden in the city… well, sort of.

M Jay Gonzalez is a Trinidadian filmmaker and journalist based in the UK. In 2012 she won the ttff’s 50-second film competition in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Trinidad and Tobago. Daddy’s Garden was nominated by the Royal Television Society as one of the top three postgraduate films in the UK.
