Sontenish Myers is a Caribbean-American writer-director based in Harlem, NY and has written and directed 4 short films to date. Her most recent short, Cross My Heart, made its world premiere at East End Film Festival in the UK and has screened widely in the US including Seattle International Film Festival and Palm Springs Shortfest. Sontenish was recently awarded the 2018 Lorraine Hansberry/Ralph Ellison Arts, Performance, and Media Award, and was named a 2017 “30 Under 30 Caribbean-American Emerging Leader” by the Institute of Caribbean Studies. She was selected by NYU as a Martin Scorsese Scholarship recipient in 2017. Sontenish is currently developing her first feature, a historical sci-fi, Stampede.
