SUMMARY:Crossroads: Caribbean Shorts for Families
DESCRIPTION:Talisman the goat\nThis is the story of Talisman\, a very unusual goat\, who leaves his home on Goat Island to go in search of fresh water. He traverses extraordinary landscapes to finally arrive at Fresh Water Cave. There he encounters Alcos. But who is Alcos? \nThe Hip Hops\nA story of disability and inclusion from the point of view of a child\, based on the filmmaker’s own life. \nSmile \n“Smile” (shot on a One Plus 6 phone) is a haunting and beautifully crafted stop-motion short film that explores the hidden pain people often mask with a smile. Through striking visuals and without the use of dialogue\, the film uses light and shadow to contrast moments of forced joy with the darkness of internal struggle. Each frame is carefully animated to convey emotion\, creating a powerful narrative that speaks directly to the heart. As the story unfolds\, it becomes clear that the character’s smile is not a reflection of happiness\, but a shield—one that slowly fades as unspoken pain consumes from within. The film reminds us that behind even the brightest expressions\, there can be deep suffering.  “Smile” is more than just a visual experience; it’s a quiet call for empathy. It urges us to look deeper\, to listen more\, and to always choose kindness—because everyone is fighting battles that are often invisible to the world. \nCharlotteville Tails \nIn Tobago\, where beauty and suffering sometimes go hand in hand\, three children from the fishing village of Charlotteville embark upon a mission to help dogs in need. Through their simple actions and voices\, Emily\, Kaija and Zakii bring hope\, delivering a powerful and urgent message on behalf of animals. \n🎟️Tickets available here
